All the spices are carefully chosen, the type of rice to be used and the meat too. The condiments, herbs, and spices give the dishes a distinct aroma. Most of the dishes contain coconut and tamarind and lots of love goes into cooking these dishes making you yearn for more!

Also, the utensils in which these dishes are cooked are made up of brass, copper or may even be earthen pots. Surprised! But this is what bestows that typical aroma and flavour you so much love!
Most of the cuisine in Secunderabad is rice and meat oriented. Vegetables and fruits are also used along with tomatoes and onions.

Some of the dishes are even prepared by sealing the utensil with dough and let the dish simmer in low flame. This is called the technique of 'dum' and is used so that the aroma and taste is evenly distributed throughout the dish. Dishes are sometimes garnished with 'warq' (very thin flattened piece of silver)  for a grand presentation!
